Privacy Policy

Effective 26 August 2026 · Prestige Insurance & Financial Services · 83 Franklin Ave, Franklin Square, NY 11010

This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can do about it. It covers the website only. If you become a client, the privacy notice we give you at that point governs the information we hold as your insurance producer, and it is issued separately because the law that applies to it is different.

Who We Are

Prestige Insurance & Financial Services is an independent insurance agency licensed by the New York State Department of Financial Services, at 83 Franklin Ave, Franklin Square, NY 11010. We are the party responsible for the personal information collected through this website. You can reach us on (516) 216-5600 or at SGambino@prestigeservicesny.com.

What We Collect

Information you give us. Our quote, service and claim forms ask for your name, email address, phone number and ZIP code, plus details about what you want insured. Depending on the form that may include your business name and trade, number of employees or vehicles, a USDOT or MC number, what you haul, and which coverages you are asking about. We only ask for what we need to quote the risk. Please do not send us Social Security numbers, dates of birth, driver’s licence numbers, bank or card details, or medical information through a website form. When we need those to place a policy, we will collect them from you directly by phone or through a secure channel.

Information collected automatically. Our host records standard server log data, including your IP address, the pages you request, your browser and operating system, and the time of the request. This happens for every website you visit and we use it for security and troubleshooting.

Advertising identifiers. If you reach us by clicking one of our ads, the link carries a click identifier (for example Google’s gclid) and campaign parameters. When you submit a form, we pass those along with it so we can tell which advertising actually produces enquiries. Until you submit, they are held only in your own browser for the length of your visit.

Why We Use It

  • To answer you. Preparing a quote, responding to a service or claim request, and following up.
  • To place coverage. Sending your application to the insurance carriers that might write it.
  • To run the business. Keeping records of enquiries and the advice we gave, which we are required to do as a licensed producer.
  • To measure our advertising. Understanding which campaigns and pages lead to real enquiries.
  • To keep the site working and secure.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent, trade or otherwise make it available to anyone for their own marketing purposes.

Who We Share It With

We share personal information with the following categories of recipient, and only as much of it as they need:

  • Insurance carriers, wholesalers and their affiliates — so they can rate and, if you proceed, issue your policy. Each carrier handles your information under its own privacy notice.
  • Service providers that operate this website and our office systems — currently our web host (Netlify), the service that passes form submissions into our system (Zapier), and our agency management and CRM system (AgencyZoom). They are permitted to use your information only to provide those services to us.
  • Google — for website analytics and advertising measurement, as described below.
  • Regulators, auditors and professional advisers — including the New York State Department of Financial Services, where we are required or permitted by law to do so.

Cookies, Analytics and Advertising

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — which pages people land on, how they move through the site, and which pages lead to a quote request. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser containing a randomly generated identifier. These are not session-only: depending on Google’s current settings they can persist for up to two years unless you clear them. We also record events such as tapping a phone number, opening the payment page and submitting a form. We do not send your name, email address or phone number to Google.

Where we run advertising, Google may also use cookies or similar identifiers to attribute a conversion to the ad you clicked. You can review and change how Google uses this data at myadcenter.google.com, and you can opt out of Google Analytics entirely using Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work; our understanding of how it is being used will simply be less complete. Some browsers also send a Global Privacy Control or “Do Not Track” signal — there is still no single agreed standard for responding to these, so we do not currently act on them, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.

Separately, our pages load web fonts from Google Fonts. Doing so means Google receives your IP address as part of the request, in the same way any server does when your browser asks it for a file.

Third-Party Content and Links

Some pages embed content from other companies, and some link out to them:

  • Thimble — an embedded quoting widget on our home page. Anything you enter into it goes to Thimble, under Thimble’s privacy policy, not ours.
  • OpenStreetMap — the map of our office on our home page is loaded from OpenStreetMap, which receives your IP address in order to serve the map tiles.
  • Insurun — our instant home and auto rating portal, at prestige.insurun.com. Following that link takes you to a separate site with its own privacy terms.
  • ePayPolicy — our online payment provider. Payments are made on ePayPolicy’s own site. We never receive or store your card or bank details through this website.

We do not control these companies and we are not responsible for how they handle information you give them directly. If any of them matters to you, read their privacy policy before using it.

Text Messages

If you opt in to text messages from us, the terms for that — message frequency, carrier charges and how to stop them — are set out in our Terms & Conditions. Opting in to texts is never a condition of getting a quote.

How Long We Keep It

We keep enquiries and the records that go with them for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet our record-keeping obligations as a licensed New York producer, and then we dispose of them securely. Where an enquiry never becomes a policy, we keep it for a substantially shorter period than a client file. If you want your enquiry deleted sooner, ask us and we will do it unless we are required to retain it.

Security

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards intended to protect personal information, including passing form submissions to our systems over encrypted connections and keeping the credentials for those systems off this website. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, though, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. That is the honest position, and it is the reason we ask you not to put sensitive identifiers into a web form. If you would rather not send information electronically at all, call us and we will take it another way.

Your Choices

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, or to delete it where we are not required to keep it. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time. Email SGambino@prestigeservicesny.com or call (516) 216-5600 and tell us what you want; we may need to verify who you are before we act. Asking will never affect the terms of any coverage you hold.

Children's Privacy

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Accessibility

We want this site to be usable by everyone, and we build it with accessibility in mind — readable text, meaningful headings, labelled links and controls, and compatibility with screen readers. Some embedded content comes from third parties whose accessibility we cannot control. If any part of this site is difficult for you to use, or you need information in another format, call (516) 216-5600 or email us and we will get it to you another way. Requests for accessibility help are handled under this policy like any other enquiry.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top of the page. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold about you, we will take reasonable steps to tell you rather than relying on you noticing.

Questions

Ask us. We would rather answer a question about this than have you guess.

You can verify our New York producer licence at dfs.ny.gov. See also our Terms & Conditions.
